JAPAN 2025 TRIP
1/13/202614 min read

Hello Tokyo... and hi again.
p.s. - sorry it took me awhile as always to post.
And I know I'm not "accomplished" photographer yet, but some of my work. dude... ^^
Akihabara.

Akihabara Electric Town
Awesome place to visit, and tbh a cool one to stay.
Entertainment hub - with everything you need, lights, shops, food, hobbies. Things I never saw anywhere else. It is active even at late hours, so wherever you decide to pass all day in Tokyo.. when you will be coming back to the hotel... you will always see Akihabara glowing again and again... ^^

Day&Night

I love to joke around that it's awesome to be a photographer, just because you don't need anything else to have fun... just your camera and good shoes to walk any corner the curiosity might lead you.
(well... as long as you hydrate yourself and sleep well to recover.)
Or the opposite, did you ever try in all the years you lived... to pick a place and spend hours in it. Literally just observing the world around it.
with no reason.
That is why you need a camera, smartphone is amazing nowadays, but will you be strong enough to resist it?

Hmm... I might even get some shots in here from 24 trip to Japan... just a few from my oldie xh2s. Damn I miss that camera... I mean good luck trying to beat the GFX for me. But for everyday carry?
a small pocket cam would be awesome. Oh wait... I got one... will try to make a whole post about it later ^^ it should be fun

from Tokyo24 archive.

enough... now let's get back to Tokyo25
And this is...
Izakaya.
Izakaya (居酒屋) - “stay-drink-place.” A spot to grab a drink, settle in, and get comfortable. A popular, usually compact, and often run by the owners themself "bar."
Sounds about right.
This place? Just a wonderland ^^

It leaves a mark in your heart when your hosts leave outside to wish you a farewell. It's hard to forget such kindness and humanity. Hope to see them again one day ^^

Let's have a walk again

I still don't get it:
Is the art inside or outside?
Can't tell a difference.
-my love to the city & culture

Can you guess what this is?

Correct, a smoking room.

There is a chance this boy remembers me from a year ago... coz I will always remember this pond. Photos of them were probably the last ones I showed to my father.
Love and miss you, actually.
A memory now. Always a pleasure to revisit.

ohh.. btw did I already tell you that I'm totally in love with Japanese working car/jeep/trucks?
I dont give a damn about a Lambo, Ferarri or whatever. Give me this bad boy. It would be so comical to drive truck like that everyday in Vilnius hahahaha

This is Tokyo man.

I could ride the trains in Tokyo all day. As most of the time you are above the ground level... and you can see different layers of the city ^^

Iron Watch.

Harajuku (原宿)
It's hard to recall now, but right from my teenage years, when I was digging into the web of Japanese fashion culture, which was probably 20 years ago already :O I found digital scans of a fashion magazine with pictures of people on Harajuku Street.
And I was blown away by the variety, colors, boldness, and commitment to the style...
Could I say that it was my dream to spend some time out there and document some of the awesome people I had the pleasure of meeting there? I might... but take a look at the street vibe first ^^

Thanks for an amaizing haircut man /ryutaroiwamura/, I already miss the shorter cut.

Harajuku Style.
Now let us get into the Fashion, and cool people out there!
And we are starting with Hiromu ^^

This guy... is just flawless...
I wonder if I could rock complete bold look for myself.. would be fun experience tho haha
Also... that top and socks/sandals... combo with black skirt? noted for this summer...

Harajuku Style.
That was a good project

Thank you to everyone on the shots for making it a series. Would be cool to return again.

Last Big Stop

НУОЕ.

Nakamura Beya.

It was shocking to see how big, how fast, how flexible those athletes are. Also, an incredible Stamina to show off on just a regular rehearsal day. Only one thing I could say... a Finest specimens... ^^

But it's time to say goodbye again, Japan.
or hopefully... see you later

Goodbye, Tokyo.
