The Random Walk
Through the Harsh Light

I love street photography, even tho doing it in your own hometown is somehow different. I won't say that it's hard to find an interesting subject or location to shoot - there are plenty. I think it has to be something regards knowing the mentality of people that surrounds you since you grew up all together and it's harder to ignore the feeling of you crossing a boundary of someone's comfort zone. I love that photography helps me to balance my own actions and be a silent spectator while I am in the "zone" but it also exposes some deep fears you have inside and I think the biggest one is the fear of confrontation for your actions.
That is a "Great Filter" that cuts down the quantity and quality of a Street Photographer. It's not as fun because it's hard. It's hard to go for a walk and come back with plenty of good shots, but maybe only one single shot that you actually count as portfolio-like frame.
Meanwhile when you out there somewhere far away from home... the Tourist cloak envelopes you and you just ... don't ... care!
